Navigating the Publication Process and the Open Access movement
In this talk Laura will give advice on how to navigate the publication process, from writing and submitting articles, to revising and disseminating your article, as well as how to become a peer reviewer at the Royal Society of Chemistry. She will also discuss the Royal Society of Chemistry's commitment to open access, and the implications of this transition on authors from different countries.

Apresentação: Dra. Laura Fisher (RSC, Cambridge-UK)

Laura Fisher is Executive Editor for RSC Advances, RSC Mechanochemistry and RSC Pharmaceutics at the Royal Society of Chemistry. Laura joined the RSC in 2014 and has previously worked across a number of other journals in various roles. Through her current role, Laura has established expertise in open access publishing across the breadth of the chemical sciences. Laura did her undergraduate degree and PhD in Chemistry at the University of Bath, UK, specialising in metal–organic frameworks. She then did a postdoc at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa in 2013. Laura is an advocate for improving inclusion and diversity in publishing, and acts as an inclusion and diversity representative within the journals department. She also has a keen interest in publishing ethics, having played a major role in the RSC's paper mills investigation during 2020.
